How to Fit Climair Wind Deflectors

FITTING ADVICE

This is a guide on how to fit Climair wind deflectors to front windows with anti-trapping sensors. Fitting instructions can vary depending on the vehicle and the make of wind deflector so always follow the fitting instructions supplied with your specific wind deflectors.

COLD WEATHER
Perspex can become brittle when cold. If fitting in cold weather conditions, ensure the wind deflectors have been stored at room temperature and only take one deflector outside at a time to fit, leave the other(s) indoors in the warmth until you are ready to fit them.

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
Take extra care when removing the wind deflectors from the box and when fitting as some edges and corners can be sharp.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

IN-CHANNEL WIND DEFLECTORS
Climair wind deflectors fit into the window channel and sit between the glass and the window seal.

Important: Lubricate the milled edge of the wind deflector. Run a bead of washing up liquid along the milled edge on both sides, the full length of the deflectors. Do not use any oil based products or WD40.

2a) At the front of the window frame by the door mirror, rest the bottom edge of the wind deflector on top of the hard rubber window seal. 2b) Do not place the deflector inside the door or on the soft part of the rubber as the deflector will not stay in place.

6) Close the window gradually in several small steps using the electric window button, assist with your hand if necessary. Open the window again and repeat this procedure at least five times.

7) Slowly close the window completely and keep the window closed for 24 hours. This will allow the wind deflector to be pressed into the rubber by the permanent pressure of the glass.

After being closed for 24 hours, the electric windows will function correctly.
